Random Chaos

A Whole Bunch of Random Stuff...

Been too occupied with various things to update stuff on the website and it didn't help matters that I broke the RSS feed generator and couldn't find the time to fix it.(Apologies to those of you that are subscribed to the feed and haven't got any updates)

December was spent travelling like crazy, was out of Bangalore for 14 days, visited Hyderabad, Palakkad, Coonoor and Chennai (and transited Coimbatore and Ooty.). Attended 4 weddings and a Family Reunion(Photos later). Covered over 3000kms by Air, Rail and Road and altitudes varying from <60mts to 2200 mts above MSL, and equally wide range of climate from cold and rain to heat and sweat. Was down with a cold before I returned to Bangalore and it progessively worsened over the next few weeks.

2005 ended just as it had begun with me lying in bed, unable to reach anyone on the phone and (hopefully) no one being able to reach me. 2005 definitely turned out a lot better than I was expecting it to be. I managed to spend more than 2 months away from Bangalore, compared to less than 2 weeks in 2004. Thanks mostly to my new found mobility.

2006 has so far been spent recovering from the cold and trying to balance issues with work, on the bright side the year can only get better.

I finally got to use iDVD and iMovie software that came with my iBook, and created a DVD complete with menus, photo albums and DV video, as a souvenir for the family reunion. Amazing how easy it was to get it done, and it turned out much better than the "professional" one that we got from the official videographer. During the process I discovered that most videographers are still using analog to mpeg decoder boards to digitise their videos even if the original video is DV, which needless to say brings back all the drawbacks from the analog days that DV gets rid off!
