It's been 3 weeks of work, work and more work. And I've been sleeping really weird hours I think I must have woken up/fallen asleep on all 24 hours during this period. Have never looked forward to weekends like I do these days. And my weekends have never been busier.
A whole bunch of people I know have moved out of Bangalore in the past month, some permanently and others will probably be back after a while. Past two weekends have been spent meeting up and spending time with them. Couldn't see anyone off though thanks to my weird work/sleeping schedule.
It's going to be year of marriages, marriages and more marriages from the looks of it.(Nope I'm not getting married) 3 weddings so far and 3 more scheduled for the rest of the year and possibly another 2-3 will be announced shortly. I hope work won't continue to be as hectic as it is now so that I can attend all of them.
Looks like I'll be traveling quite a bit this year after all, I thought I was heading towards another year like 2004(340+ days in Bangalore) when I had to cancel my planned trip to Sikkim in the summer.
My "open letter" has been getting a lot of attention, but there seem to be a lot of different agendas being pushed around most of which have nothing to do with me. I'll be putting up some clarifications on the reasons behind my letter.
To those of you that have contacted me about it over the past two weeks, I'm sorry I've not been able to reply back to but I think my next article should answer most of the questions/clarifications you have sought/raised.
I finally picked up GTA:VC, Max Payne 2 and upgraded to a GeForce 6200 earlier this month since it didn't look like I'm going to be spending much time outdoors, and I've managed to play GTA:VC for a whopping 3 hours(most of it was just lying in bed and cruising around while listening to the cool 80s music late one night). Guess I should be glad that I got to play for a while since the last time I seriously played a game was when I finished the linear missions in GTA3 back in Oct. 2003.
This past week I decided I've had enough of my old keyboard, but have ended up cycling through 3 different keyboards and having a really hard time getting used to any of them thanks to what a friend on IRC labeled "Phantom Key Sensation" since I keep going for an "invisible key" and hit the keyboard frame instead.
These "multimedia keyboards" have to be the most non-standard equipment in the market you can't get a replacement keyboard with the same layout even from reputed brands. My old one had a "multimedia key" a little above and between the "Esc" and "F1" keys which I used for raising windows. It was highly effective to navigate through multiple windows since I'd point with the mouse on my right hand and hit the button with my left. Looks like I'll need to shell out for a wireless keyboard if I want a half-decent one with extra buttons near my left-hand.
