Firefox Compatible Dataone Portal ... Finally!

Almost a year and a half after launching their service, BSNL finally has a usage monitoring "portal" that isn't dependent on IE. But the software rollout doesn't seem to have been completed as yet.

The new version can be accessed at http://10.240.16.195/webLogin.jsp.

The fonts might look weird because the character encoding is set to "Chinese Simplified (GB2312)". Choosing a different encoding (ISO-8859-1 or UTF-8) fixes the issue. In Firefox it is View -> Character Encoding.

Update:(25/08/06) They've turned off the browser dependent redirect, changed URL to point to the right location.
